Introduction from Anne

I am a patient, mature teacher with an academic background in English, Art and Social Sciences. I teach and practice textile art regularly. Myself and my family originally come from London and have lived in Edinburgh for several years. We have 3 grown up children and our 2 sons also live in Edinburgh. Our youngest daughter lives with us at home. We enjoy socialising with friends, travelling, cinema, theatre, art galleries, and walking around Edinburgh and its surroundings.

We live in a traditional Scottish home close to the centre of Edinburgh. We live near the central park of Edinburgh known as ‘The Meadows’ so there is a lovely green space on our doorstep that will take you into the centre of Edinburgh’s Old Town. The area is very popular with students and there is a vast array of restaurants, cafes, food shops and boutiques. It is a very picturesque and historic area surrounded byb traditional buildings and cobbled streets.

There are many things to do and enjoy in Edinburgh. My favourite places to visit with students include: Edinburgh Castle, Holyrood Palace and city Zoo. The city has 5 major art galleries and a national museum. Edinburgh Castle stands at the head of the Royal Mile offering panoramic views of Edinburgh.
